Identifying Victims Of Postpartum Doula San Deigo

By Steven Sullivan

The arrival of a baby is a source of joy and happiness for the family. However, this is not always the same as there are instances that turn the opposite of what is expected. Postpartum Doula San Deigo victims who are either male or female have uncontrolled moods. This is a condition that occurs between one week to about one month after the baby is born to either of the parents. There are certain elements that will be seen on the victims and include the following.

They are persistently sad and always anxious. Instead of happiness being seen on them they ever on a sad face. They do not appreciate what is around them and this makes things sad for all individuals that they interact with. It also makes communication between the parents hard and at times may even bring about conflicts as there is no joy in the partners. This also affects the child.

The individuals are highly restless. A feeling of not being satisfied with what is presented to them is created. They do not appreciate anything, and this creates frustrations in their partners and to some extent conflict. Accompanied by the restlessness comes anger at very trivial things. Such a person tends to send away those close to them, and the child growth is undermined in the process.

Another symptom noticed is complaining of exhaustion. Mostly this is as a result of overworking the brain with small and primarily negative thought. Whenever the brain is tired, the body receives the effect, and this is why they complain of the body being exhausted. As a result of this condition negligence and failure to carry out functions is noted.

Lack of care for themselves and particularly hygiene. The individual barely gets to clean up, and this makes them dirty all the time. As the condition develops, a person does not even note that they are dirty, as most of the time their minds are far away. The possibility of contracting infections and diseases increases with them being overly untidy. The same is transferred to the infant putting them at great risks.

Their ability to make decisions is also diminished. Ability to coordinate things around the is significantly undermined as the mind is filled with many negative thoughts such as fear and the thoughts that they cannot take care of their children. This may deteriorate, and they end up making decisions that might harm the child or their spouses if treatment is not sought immediately the condition is noticed.

It is also common to notice social withdraw. A normal person appreciates the society and works towards ensuring there is constant contact with other people and especially due to the presence of a child. But the opposite happens when there is postpartum depression, other people are seen as enemies and refuse any form of contact with other individuals making it hard for them to offer any help.

In conclusion, there is reduced libido. The sex life of the partners is not supposed to be effected after childbirth. This happens on the negative side if postpartum depression is present. It becomes worse especially when the condition affects one person in a marriage. Conflicts may arise out of that where they do not understand the course of the lowering of their libido. Hence it is essential to evaluate the symptoms and seek medical help.
